Marvel is prepaid by volume. You buy a bundle of gigabytes; the per-GB price drops as the bundle gets bigger. You’re billed only for the bytes that actually flow through an issued exit.

What you pay for

• Bytes through issued exits, and only those. Metering bills exactly the bytes proxied — bytes billed equals bytes moved.
• Free by design: dropped re-draws, the Gauntlet itself, issuing or listing nodes, idle sticky sessions, and every /v1 control call.

No balance, no proxy

A key with a zero balance cannot dial — the gateway returns 402 and no node is issued. Top up to resume; the ledger reconciles to the byte. There is no overdraft and no surprise invoice.

How to buy

Pick a bundle in the dashboard and pay by card — it creates a Stripe Checkout Session and credits your balance the moment payment settles. Programmatically, that’s POST /v1/checkout with a bundle_id. Credit is applied by Stripe’s signature-verified webhook, so your balance only ever moves on a genuinely paid session.
